Chris MacDonald joined Wicker & Things over 20 years ago. She holds a Bachelor Degree in Interior Design. She has worked in the furniture industry most of her life…. gaining depth and in site into colors, fabrics, and principals of design.

Chris attends several markets a year searching for new products and ideas to beautify the 10,000 sq. ft. showroom she manages with her dad Al Sacchetta.

In addition to doing most of the buying for the showroom, Chris’ talents include but are not limited to fabric selections and applications, visual displays, accessorizing, and space planning. Chris brings her personal touch and artistic flair to every project she undertakes. She welcomes the opportunity to create a space tailored to fit each client’s specific needs.

Al graduated from DePaul University with a business degree in accounting and marketing. Al went to work for Jewel food stores, in Chicago, where he was a successful store manager. Al saw the opportunity to own his own business and make a life for himself in Florida… Thus, he relocated his family and purchased Wicker and Things in 1982. From the beginning, the store was a success. The reason he thinks he was so successful in Naples, is that he put customers wishes first. He tried to provide extra care and give people immediate delivery from his large selection of inventory.
Al is in the showroom daily. You will often see him behind the desk: handling the books, on the road making deliveries, or in the warehouse over seeing what comes in and out of the showroom.

Mary ran the business for nearly ten years, in the early 80’s and 90’s. She worked in the store daily and did the buying and merchandising, before she trained her daughter Chris to handle these details. Today you will not see Mary in the showroom… except on Saturday’s. However, she is still a large part of the business and handles many of the behind the scenes tedious duties that goes along with running a business. Today, she enjoys spending time with her grandchildren.
